Vancouver local gets her big break in Red Riding Hood
Clearly there are no distracting wolves in the path of Kacey Rohl. The young Vancouverite landed her very first role in a Hollywood feature film, Red Riding Hood.
Since her mom is a playwright, and her father a film and TV director I’m not surprised to see the young 19-year-old working with some of Hollywood’s biggest names; including, Producer Leonardo DiCaprio, Amanda Seyfried and Twilight Director Catherin Hardwicke.
Kacey plays the character of "Prudence" one of Red Riding Hood's not-so-loyal friend's, while Amanda Seyfried, also seen in Mean Girls, Mamma Mia! and Chloe, plays the leading role as Red Riding Hood. The two worked closely on set, and according to Kacey it was an experience she will never forget. "There was no pressure at all working with Amanda, I felt that I learned a lot from her."
Kacey seemed to have been most impressed by Catherin Hardwicke, former Director of Twilight. "What I really liked about the way Catherine told this story was how strong women are." Kacey explained that walking on set everyday and working with Catherine was incredible, and I believe her.
Unfortunately Red Riding Hood was a flop, but Kacey is a trooper at heart and has an appreciation to have worked with such Hollywood talent.
Kacey Rohl, the next big thing to come out of Vancouver.
